Literary Estates

Literary estates (heirs and beneficiaries) of rightsholders are eligible to receive royalties.

If the deceased was an Access Copyright affiliate, you must complete a Warranty Regarding Entitlement Form stating your entitlement to the royalties. To obtain a copy of this form, please contact Distribution Services by calling 416-868-1620 (toll-free 1-800-893-5777) or by email at affiliates@accesscopyright.ca.

If the deceased was not an Access Copyright affiliate, you may apply to affiliate the estate if the deceased would have met our eligibility requirements, and if his or her works have not yet passed into the public domain. In addition to the usual affiliation application documents, you will also have to complete a Warranty Regarding Entitlement Form stating your entitlement to the royalties.
